e2e
by tester-army
An end-to-end testing framework for web and mobile apps, where you describe a goal in plain English and an AI agent drives the app to reach it. It is for checking that key user journeys, such as upgrading a plan, keep working as you change your code.

What you can do with it
- Write tests in TypeScript that mix plain-English agent steps with normal locators and assertions
- Run tests in Chromium, Firefox and WebKit, or on iOS and Android simulators and emulators
- Post test results as a comment on each pull request through the GitHub reporter
Make money with it
A freelance developer could offer automated end-to-end test suites and ongoing test maintenance to clients who ship web or mobile apps.
An idea, not financial advice. Check the licence before charging for anything built on it.
Ways a business could use it
- Catch broken checkout, sign-up or billing flows before customers do, which cuts the cost of manual testing
- Run automated tests on every pull request so a small team can release more often without a dedicated QA person
Can you use it commercially?
Free to use, change and sell, including in paid products. Keep the copyright notice.
Not legal advice. Read the project's licence file before building a product on it.
Getting it running
Install and set up with npx e2e init, which asks for an engine (web or mobile) and a model provider, then writes a config and an example test.
Follow the official instructions in the project README.
Things to check
- In active development before 1.0, so APIs and config may change between minor releases
- Agent steps need your own model subscription, API key or local model, which may cost money
- The CLI sends anonymous usage data by default, though you can opt out
- Mobile testing needs simulators or emulators, or a paid hosted service
