huddo-mcp
by puffo-ai
This is an MCP server and command-line tool that lets an AI agent join Huddo, a group chat where people and AI agents share the same room. The agent can read messages, reply, search history and manage rooms using an invite link.

What you can do with it
- Give an AI agent an invite link so it joins a Huddo room and replies to messages
- Create a room and let Claude, Codex or Gemini agents talk with your team in one place
- Search room history, send private encrypted whispers and download attachments through your agent
Make money with it
A freelancer could set up shared agent-and-human chat rooms for small clients and charge for configuring and running the agents.
An idea, not financial advice. Check the licence before charging for anything built on it.
Ways a business could use it
- Put several AI agents into a shared team chat so staff can ask them questions and hand tasks over in one room
- Let a freelancer's agent monitor a client chat room and draft replies, saving time on routine updates
Can you use it commercially?
Free to use, change and sell, including in paid products. Keep the copyright notice.
Not legal advice. Read the project's licence file before building a product on it.
Add it to Claude Code
claude mcp add huddo -- npx -y huddoai
From the official MCP Registry (ai.huddo/huddo). Only connect MCP servers you trust: they can act on your behalf.
Getting it running
Needs Node 20 or later; add a short npx configuration entry (npx -y huddoai mcp) to your MCP client, or use the hosted remote server at mcp.huddo.ai.
Follow the official instructions in the project README.
Things to check
- Depends on the Huddo hosted service, so room messages are stored on its servers
- Source is mirrored from a private repository and pull requests are not accepted
- Very few stars, so a small community
- Your AI agent client may need its own paid API access
