hallmark
by Nutlope
Hallmark is a design skill for AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and OpenCode. It guides them to build web pages that avoid common machine-made design habits, and it checks the result in a real browser.

What you can do with it
- Build a new page in one of 48 design themes, or a custom design, from a plain prompt
- Redesign an existing page while keeping its content, links and forms working
- Audit a page and get a report on machine-made design habits, contrast, focus and phone layout problems
Make money with it
A freelancer could offer fast website builds or redesigns for local businesses, using the skill to produce and check the first version.
An idea, not financial advice. Check the licence before charging for anything built on it.
Ways a business could use it
- Produce a polished landing page or small-business site quickly without paying a designer for a first draft
- Audit and refresh an old website so it looks more distinctive and works properly on phones
Can you use it commercially?
Free to use, change and sell, including in paid products. Keep the copyright notice.
Not legal advice. Read the project's licence file before building a product on it.
Getting it running
Install with one command, "npx skills add nutlope/hallmark -g", which needs Node 18 or later; the browser checks also need puppeteer-core and Chrome.
Follow the official instructions in the project README.
Things to check
- Needs an AI coding assistant, which may require a paid subscription or API usage
- Photo library links to Wikimedia images with differing licences, some requiring credit
