What you can do with it
- Describe a coding task in plain language and have it edit files and run tests in your project folder
- Choose how much freedom it has, from asking before every step to working on its own within set limits
- Rewind files its edit tools changed by conversation turn without touching your git history

Our suggestion based on what it does, not a feature-by-feature comparison.
Make money with it
A freelance developer could use it to take on more client fixes and feature work in the same time and charge for the finished projects.
An idea, not financial advice. Check the licence before charging for anything built on it.
Ways a business could use it
- Speed up building and fixing a small company's website or internal tools without hiring extra developers
- Let a freelance developer deliver client coding work faster, such as adding features, writing tests and fixing bugs
Can you use it commercially?
Free to use, change and sell, including in paid products. Keep the copyright notice.
Not legal advice. Read the project's licence file before building a product on it.
Getting it running
Download the Reasonix Studio desktop app from the releases page, or install the reasonix command-line tool (published on npm) and run reasonix setup to pick a model.
Follow the official instructions in the project README.
Things to check
- Needs an API key from an AI model provider, and you pay that provider directly
- What the agent reads is sent to the model service you configure
- Rewind only covers files changed by its edit tools, not changes made by shell commands
- Allowing it to run commands on its own carries some risk
