Atlas
by Atlas-OS
Atlas is a set of changes for Windows that removes telemetry, adverts and unneeded apps, and adjusts settings to improve speed and privacy. It is applied to an existing Windows install through the AME Wizard tool rather than a modified Windows disc image.

Make money with it
An IT freelancer could offer a paid PC clean-up and optimisation service for gamers or small offices using Atlas.
An idea, not financial advice. Check the licence before charging for anything built on it.
Ways a business could use it
- Set up lean, ad-free Windows machines for staff or kiosks with less background software
- Get more speed from older office or workshop PCs instead of buying new hardware
Can you use it commercially?
Free to use. Anything you distribute that includes it must be open-sourced under the same licence.
Not legal advice. Read the project's licence file before building a product on it.
Getting it running
You download the Atlas Playbook and run it through AME Wizard on a fresh Windows install, following the installation guide in the documentation.
Follow the official instructions in the project README.
Things to check
- Changes core Windows settings, so a fresh install and backups are advised
- Relies on AME Wizard, whose interface is not open source
- Some security features can be switched off, which lowers protection
