- Set up and maintain TVs in rental properties, hotels or cafés by installing apps and a custom launcher from one phone
Can you use it commercially?
Free to use. Anything you distribute that includes it must be open-sourced under the same licence.
Not legal advice. Read the project's licence file before building a product on it.
Getting it running
Download the APK from GitHub Releases (or use Obtainium or Orion Store) and install it on an Android 8.0+ phone, then turn on developer options and debugging on the TV.
Follow the official instructions in the project README.
Things to check
- Needs developer options and network debugging turned on in the TV, which lowers its security while enabled
- Disabling the wrong apps could affect TV behaviour, though protected system apps are blocked and changes can be undone
- Checks GitHub for updates every 30 minutes by default (can be turned off)
